Swapping the ring out for a different color takes about two seconds, and the magnet still holds firm on my car mount afterward. I like that I can pop it off when I want a cleaner look on the weekends.
The snap is genuinely strong, I've been waving my phone around with a MagSafe charger attached and it hasn't slipped once. The best part is how easy it pops off when I want to switch colors to match my case.
Swapping the ring off to use a wireless charger takes some getting used to, but it stays firmly attached once it's on. Nice that I can change the look without buying a whole new case.
